Autopilot Roll Servo Installation

After wiring this servo using the wiring harness supplied with the kit, I changed my mind and decided to wire it a bit differently. I'm fairly certain the Vans harness would have worked fine, but I just felt there were too many differences in what the Garmin wiring instructions called for and the Vans harness. The Vans harness is well done, but it has to be a bit generic because they don't know ultimately what direction the builder will go as far as avionics systems. At this point, I think I have decided to not use any of the Vans pre-made wire harnesses and go down my own path. I may be opening up a can of worms that I will regret later, but we'll cross that bridge when it comes.
I will post my new plan when I figure one out:) |

As mentioned above, I changed my mind about using the pre-made wire harness provided with the kit. I decided to follow the wiring recommendations from garmin as best I could.

Not per plans. Will describe later. Clearance is close between the bolt head and servo body. Careful consideration of washer stacks must be used. |
